Lost – The End *** CAUTION SPOILERS ***

If You watched any television last night, then you were most likely one of the millions, including myself, who tuned in looking for answers to the mysteries of the tv drama that was called Lost. I for one, was not disappointed.

I have to admit the acting on this show has always been stellar. Mathew Fox was superb last night. Jack taking on Jacob’s part to protect the island from destruction worked out really well. It showed his fear disappear, and gave the impression that he was meant for this job his whole life. He seemed so confident in all his decisions He was reminiscent of Master Yoda, Thanks Hurley. I really liked the idea that this show was about Jack from the beginning. He was chosen for the island to die for the island. Even the fight with John Lock/Smoke Monster was well done complete with Kate saving the day.

But this was only 1 half of the show. The other half followed the rest of the cast, including Jack, Kate, and Sawyer, as they journey to remember themselves on the island. With the help of Desmond,Who was the first to remember, They one by one begin to understand what we as an audience have been trying to figure out for 6 years. That they are all dead.

Now don’t get me wrong. I don’t think they died in the pilot episode. I am going to have to agree with Jimmy Kimmel, (Oh god did I just write that!), I believe all the sideways/flashback type scenes took place after the characters were already dead and they were just waiting for everyone to die so they could meet together and “Move on” to the next journey. They may have died at different times, even years apart from each other, but there was no sense of time where they were waiting.

Which brings me back to Jack who was the last to remember. With the help of his Father, He relizes that his Father is not visiting him from the grave, but Jack is visiting his Father from the living. The last scenes seem to cut back and forth from Jack on the island as he bleeds to death, to Jack in the after world as the rest of the cast waits for him to relize he is dead and join them.

This was a great character show. I don’t think you needed to follow the crazy stories and twists to watch it. The characters have always been interesting. This show and its characters will truly be missed by it’s always rivited audience. Someone close to me said it best, “I watch for the interesting characters. I have no idea whats going on in the show.”
